Allergies at Chill on Park

“Every three minutes in the U.S. an allergic reaction sends someone to the hospital” –FARE

If you or someone you know has an allergy to food, you know the struggle it can be to dine out, especially if it’s a severe reaction.

At Chill on Park:

We take allergies seriously.

  • All new staff watches training videos on allergies and precautions.
  • Our scoops are rinsed between every flavor.
  • Ask to easy our ingredients binder or top 8 allergies chart.
  • We have a nut free scoop.

At Chill on Park, we do what we can to make it easier for you to find out what is going to be safe. When bringing our children out, we want to make sure they are safe and we are not feeding them something that is going to harm them.

“30% of children with a food allergy are allergic to more than one food” –FARE

This can make choosing an ice cream flavor difficult. No one wants to have to read through a list of ingredients while trying to find something safe to eat (or feed their children)!

We have an easy chart that makes it more simple and fast to see if our ice cream has any of the top 8 most common allergies (milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, fish and shellfish). We didn’t list fish and shellfish because none of our ice creams have those ingredients.

*Shellfish & Fish are not represented because none of our ice cream contains those ingredients.

Now, what to order at Chill?

If you are allergic to all of the top 8 most common allergies we have a few options for you.

Our first suggestion (a favorite!) is Raspberry Sorbet with real pieces of raspberries. We also carry two flavors of locally made FoMu: Chocolate Pudding and Tahitian Vanilla.

If we all work together to bring awareness to allergies it will make it easier for our community. You’re not alone.
